“We are different, but we are all together!”

December  02, 2019

With such wonderful words, a creative concert of the Tatar folk song “Turgai” began at  the Sabikovsky rural House of Culture. Friends and partners came to congratulate the people of Sabik on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Kind words sounded from the stage that evening. Guests read poems about life, about love, about nobility. Perky songs were performed. The host of the concert emphasized that even though it is winter outside, this day can be considered a truly spring, because the whole society at this moment becomes a little kinder.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities was approved many years ago. Celebrated every year on December 3. The main task of the holiday is to draw public attention to the problems of people with disabilities.

Such events must be carried out, because on this day everyone should feel that society is paying close attention to their problems, protecting their dignity, rights and well-being. The purpose for which this day was proclaimed is  full and equal observance of human rights and  participation of persons with disabilities in society.

The International Day provides an opportunity to quickly change attitudes towards people with disabilities, remove obstacles to their full participation in political, social, economic and cultural life.
