Today, May 17, delegates of the 16th All-Russian Forum "National Identity and Religion" set off for Bolgar.

The event is attended by 1,071 people from 78 regions of Russia.

The 11th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Shigabuddin Mardjani Readings," dedicated to the development of civic consciousness and patriotism in Tatar theological thought, took place in Kazan.

A monument to Tatar poet and Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil is planned to be installed in the Park of the 30th Anniversary of Victory in the Kirov district of Omsk.

The visit took place as part of the All-Russian Folklore and Ethnographic Expedition dedicated to the study of intangible ethnocultural heritage sites of the Russian Federation in the Novosibirsk region.

Tatarstan will take part in planning a cycle of federal and international events dedicated to the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay in 2036.

The exhibition was prepared by the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Street Art Research Institute, the State Museum of the East, and the Marjani Foundation.

Today, May 12, a press conference dedicated to the 16th All-Russian Forum of Tatar Religious Figures took place at the building of the World Congress of the Tatars.

During the event, Tatar melodies and songs set to the poet's verses were performed. Attendees also had the opportunity to view the book exhibition "The Magical World of Tukay".

The winner of the regional stage will represent the Ulyanovsk Region at the final of the International Contest "Tatar Kyzy — 2026" in Turkmenistan.
