On October 19, at 13:00, the educational campaign “Tatarcha dictation” was held around the world, which was aimed at increasing interest in literate spelling, knowledge of the Tatar literary language, and self-checking spelling and grammar errors. This year the action is held for the fourth time. The text of the dictation was determined by philologists of the Tatar language of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of KFU.

The dictation is held on a single day in all the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and foreign countries, indicating the main elements of the network structure of the Tatar world. According to tradition, the organizers of the action were the World Forum of Tatar Youth, the Executive Committee of the International Union of the World Congress of Tatars, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, and the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication.

In the United Arab Emirates (distant) and in Sweden (directly), “Tatarcha dictation” was held with the most active participation of one of the Tatar activists  in the field of culture – writer,  publicisit   Ismail Shangareev.
