Today, on the second day of the “Tugan Tel” World Forum, the closing ceremony of the XIII International Olympiad in the Tatar language took place, with forum delegates in attendance. Addressing the finalists of the Tatar language Olympiad with welcoming remarks were Marat Akhmetov, Chairman of the Commission for the Preservation and Development of the Tatar Language and Native Languages of Peoples Residing in the Republic of Tatarstan under the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Acting Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan, as well as Danis Shakirov, Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars.
The International Olympiad in the Tatar Language and Literature was held in Kazan from April 13 to 16. It was attended by 500 people from 30 subjects of Russia and 5 foreign countries. This year, the intellectual competition was dedicated to the work of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay.
The Olympiad featured competitors who were winners and prize-winners of the republican and interregional stages of the Olympiad, as well as participants in online testing and interviews on the Tatar language and literature. The finalists presented projects dedicated to the works of Gabdulla Tukay and Musa Jalil to the jury.
The main competition events took place at the Baitik children’s health and education complex.
