On April 24, the International Holy Quran Award will take place at the G. Kamal Tatar State Academic Theater. The event will be held as part of Kazan being granted the status of the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World.
The award is organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of the State of Qatar, and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
In addition to the Quran recitation competition, an exhibition dedicated to the centuries-old history of the Quran will be organized in the theater’s foyer.
