In Kazan, the “Tugan Tel” Native Language World Forum will be held

From April 15-17, the “Tugan Tel” Native Language World Forum will take place in Kazan. This is one of the largest events aimed at creating conditions for the preservation, study, and development of the Tatar language in the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as abroad and in the regions of Russia.

This year, the forum will bring together more than 800 participants. Among them are teachers of Tatar language and literature, school principals, kindergarten educators, methodologists from education departments from 28 regions of the Russian Federation and educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as instructors from Muslim religious educational institutions.

The forum is organized by the World Congress of the Tatars with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Forum Program:

April 15 (Wednesday)

The forum will open with participant registration at the Korston GTRK. Delegates will lay flowers at the monuments to the great Tatar poets G. Tukay and M. Jalil. The program also includes a tour of the museums of G. Tukay and M. Jalil.

The official opening of the forum will take place at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, where a scientific and methodological seminar dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of G. Tukay is also planned.

At the Korston GTRK, delegates will take part in the “Tatarça Diktant” (Tatar Dictation) event.

April 16 (Thursday)

The closing ceremony of the XIII International Olympiad in the Tatar language will take place at the Korston GTRK.

Following that, discussion and methodological sessions are scheduled.

In the evening, delegates will enjoy a cultural program.

April 17 (Friday)

The main event will be the plenary session of the “Tugan Tel” World Forum. Before the session, guests will view the exhibition “Innovative Projects and Approaches in the Study of the Tatar Language.”
