October 3 in Kazan at the cinema “Mir” the Days of Cinema of Uzbekistan have started. Residents of the Republic of Tatarstan had the opportunity to see a special program of Uzbek films.
The opening ceremony of the Uzbekistan Film Days in Tatarstan was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan D. Natfullin, Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazan Nasriev F.B. and head of the national-cultural autonomy of the Uzbeks of the Republic of Tatarstan Abdusatarov A.A.
In his welcoming speech, Nasriev F.B. noted that the screenings of Uzbek films in Tatarstan and Tatarstan films in Uzbekistan contribute to strengthening of bilateral relations, as well as lead to cultural cooperation. “The days of Uzbek cinema are not held in the capital of Tatarstan for the first time: in the same beautiful hall, we presented our films to the Kazan audience last year. The number of joint film projects is increasing – the Days of Tatarstan Cinema are regularly held in Uzbekistan, and now the Tatar-Uzbek film Sumbul is also in joint production, ”said Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazan.
In Tatarstan, Uzbek films are represented by the Soviet and Uzbek theater and film actors, People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rajab Adashev, film actress Feruza Saidova and head of the Uzbekkino international relations department Umidzhon Zunnunov.
Among the 8 films selected for the Days of Cinema of Uzbekistan there are not only feature films, but also documentary, historical, children’s and social films. The selection contains films with both Russian dubbing and the original language with Russian subtitles.
Within the framework of the Days of Uzbek Cinema, a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan also visited the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan and the cabinet of national-cultural autonomy of the Uzbeks of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The days of cinema of Uzbekistan in the cinema “Mir” lasted until October 5.
