On July 30 Kazan will host a festival of modern Tatar culture Pechen Bazary – Hay Bazaar.
“This year is unique in that, firstly, the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam is celebrated, and secondly, the Year of Digitalization in the Republic of Tatarstan. These two events will be intertwined at the Hay Bazaar,” the organizers said on their page on the social network.
At the site of the festival in the Old Tatar settlement on the street. Shamil Marjani stalls will be exhibited, where artisans will present their products. There will also be a photo zone, workshops, a teahouse, a food court, a theater promenade, lectures will be held, musicians will perform, and designers will present national clothes.
The festival will start at 9.00 and will last until 22.00. You can visit it for free.
Pechen Bazari is a festival that brings together Tatar urban communities – designers, poets, musicians, culinary specialists, scientists, choreographers, filmmakers, children and their parents, who represent modern Tatar culture, thereby developing intercultural dialogue among the multilingual urban population.
