The Republican festival of traditional games of the peoples of Tatarstan “UenFest” has been  visited today by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The festival takes place on the territory of the historical, architectural and art museum-reserve “Kazan Kremlin” and is timed to coincide with June 1 – International Children’s Day.

We remind  that the festival of traditional games “UenFest”  has  started in 2020. Actors of the leading theaters of the republic, employees of cultural centers held folk games and fun, recorded it on video, posted it on social networks with the hashtag #wenfest. Game performances covered more than 1000 courtyards throughout the republic. The number of views on the official account of the project and on the accounts of participants is over 100,000.

Today, on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin, the festival program includes interactive master classes, traditional folk games, traditional art painting, paper – plastic, clay toys.

The festival features a folk playground with children’s attractions, a tent with cartoon projects “Multifest” and the children’s city of Kazan “KidSpace”.

The concert program includes performances of amateur children’s groups and the award ceremony for the finalists of the 1st Republican Festival “UenFest”, the 9th Republican Festival of Children’s Folklore Groups “Moңly Tamchy – Ringing drops”, the 11th All-Russian competition of creative works “Suykemle Shurule – Charming Shurale”.

The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, State Budgetary Institution “Resource Center for the Implementation of Innovations and Preservation of Traditions in the Sphere of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
