A plenary session of the All-Russian gathering of Tatar religious figures took place today. The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan

The delegates of the meeting and guests of honor were welcomed by  Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev.

The plenary session continued with speeches by other officials.

The forum dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria gathered 1100 delegates from 76 regions of Russia and 5 foreign countries.

Albir Hazrat Kraganov also shared his thoughts on the activities of the World Congress of Tatars.

Experts commented on the importance of this holiday from the point of view of politics, economy and ordinary people of Tatarstan.

During the meeting, the leaders talked about the festive events dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bolgaria.
